Board News

Board Linkage Webinar Archive

by User Not Found | Mar 12, 2013
Dear Colleagues,

On January 22, we had a very productive conversation via webinar, during which we shared upcoming changes to a smaller, competency-based board with three-year terms to better represent our diverse ISTE community. We also shared future alternatives to seating the board through elections and appointments after the 2013 election.

We invite you to view the webinar archive. If you are interested in sharing additional thoughts and recommendations with ISTE board representatives, please do so at isteboard@iste.org. We value your feedback.

Thank you for taking advantage of the opportunity to broaden your understanding of the upcoming changes and provide feedback on possible changes in the future. Your insight will be shared with the full board next month. We continue to be impressed by the level of experience and involvement that so many of you bring to ISTE. We are grateful for the work you do to provide students at all levels with digital-age educational opportunities.

Again, thank you for participating in the ISTE Board's Linkage efforts. It is through these activities that ISTE’s board and members can have a strong ongoing dialogue that supports continuous improvement for our association.

Best,

Holly Jobe, ISTE Board President
Dr. Kari Stubbs, ISTE Board Member, Chair-Linkages Committee
Mike Lawrence, ISTE Board Member, Chair-Board Composition Committee

The 2019 election is now closed - check back here for updates!

ISTE is a nonprofit, 501(c)(3) public-benefit corporation that is governed by an elected board of directors. The board provides strategic leadership, vision, and fiduciary oversight as it works to ensure progress toward organizational goals.

The members of the ISTE Board of Directors are extremely interested in hearing from and connecting with ISTE members. In an effort to stay apprised of your opinions and perspectives, we’ve formed a Membership Linkage Committee to actively seek out trends and issues that matter to members. The committee meets regularly to address this feedback and use it to inform organizational decision making, direction and initiatives as well as to evaluate how best to keep members updated regarding the work of the board.

Share your comments, concerns or ideas with the Membership Linkage Committee.
