The Digital Citizenship Academy is a series of self-paced modules.

Today’s students grow up surrounded by digital technologies and bombarded with conflicting messages about how and when to use these tools. How can students make responsible decisions about technology use without direction? This course will prepare participants to help students understand the human, cultural and societal issues related to technology and teach them how to practice safe, legal and ethical behavior in the digital realm.

By evaluating videos and lessons addressing the elements of digital citizenship, you’ll become equipped to foster a positive attitude toward technology that supports collaboration, learning and productivity. You’ll also discover resources from various organizations demonstrating how students at all levels can creatively express their understanding of digital citizenship with the goal of building skills for the future. With the help of this course, students, educators and parents will become digital citizenship leaders as they work together as a team to devise a consistent message for all communities involved.
