Jeremy Shorr

Bio: Jeremy Shorr is the Director of Technology Innovation and Early Childhood Education for the Teaching Institute for Excellence in STEM. Jeremy is an education futurist who is passionate about innovating the instructional experience for learners of all ages. As the Director of Innovation for the Mentor Public Schools, Jeremy led a project to develop a 1:1 and blended learning model that is currently implemented across the district and has garnered the district national press and a variety of recognitions such as the "Best Blended Learning Implementation in Ohio". A research and development classroom in Mentor earned the district a statewide "Trendsetter" award and has been visited by over 250 districts across the world since January of 2014. Mentor was recently selected as one of two national site visits by the National School Boards Association, a visit that focused on these initiatives. Jeremy is the past chair of the Ideastream (PBS/NPR) advisory council and is the current chair of the CTO Network for ISTE, the International Society for Technology in Education. Jeremy also serves on the Board of Directors for the EDWINS Leadership and Restaurant Institute, a program focused on providing formerly-incarcerated adults a foundation in the hospitality industry while providing a support network necessary for successful reentry. Jeremy serves on the Education Advisory Committee of the City Club of Cleveland and on several advisory boards for the Council of School Networking (CoSN). Jeremy has presented at conferences across the United States and in China and works with other districts around the world who are looking to implement new instructional strategies through workshops and ongoing support. Jeremy has been recognized as one of the National School Boards Association’s “20 to Watch”, as the Ohio Technology-Using Administrator of the Year, the Ohio Educational Leader Innovator, the Center for Digital Education’s “Top 30 Technologists, Transformers and Trailblazers”, as one of the Crain’s Cleveland Business “Forty under 40”, and received Ideastream’s Betty Cope award. Jeremy is a Certified Educational Technology Leader (CETL), a Google Certified Educator, an Apple Distinguished Educator (ADE), and received his MBA in Executive Leadership from Cleveland State University. Jeremy was an Educational Policy Fellow with the Institute for Educational Leadership in 2015-2016 and began his doctoral work with a focus in Entrepreneurial Leadership in Education at Johns Hopkins University in the summer of 2016. Jeremy and his daughter, Lila, live in Twinsburg, Ohio.

 

David Andrade

Bio: David Andrade is a K-12 Education Strategist on the education strategy team for CDW·G, a leading provider of technology solutions and services to education, government and healthcare. A former engineer, educator, EdTech Specialist and School District CIO, Andrade works with school districts to assist them with selecting and implementing technology solutions to help them improve teaching and learning.
