This is an ISTE Expert Webinar recording from January 31, 2018.

Today, most educators, administrators, coaches and students know that digital citizenship is important. But once a basic understanding of digital citizenship is present, what are the next steps? This session will provide concrete examples of ways to move the digcit conversation to the next level and will emphasize ISTE's new digital citizenship framework that includes learners as Digital Agent, Digital Interactor and Digital Self.

Presented by the ISTE Digital Citizenship Network.

Nancy Watson

Bio: I hold a Master of Library Science and a Master of Education, and have been a Digital Learning Specialist/Consultant since 2006. I served on the team that wrote the ISTE Certified Educator program and co-wrote the Digital Citizen curriculum for ISTE/Metiri’s Digital Learning Pathways series. Passionate about digital citizenship, digital literacy, and digital equity, I created CLICK, a website of student-created technology tips, to help bridge gaps in digital literacy (see http://tinyurl.com/pisdclick) and to give students of any age a place to contribute positively to a digital space. My most recent creation is an app, Everyday #DigCit (digcit.glideapp.io), that will give teachers one-sentence-a-day talking points/questions for digital citizenship conversations with their students. I am proud to be a Google Certified Educator and a Google for Education Certified Trainer and Innovator (#LON17 – huzzah!). I have presented on a variety of topics at the Region 10 Tech Conference, ASCD-Texas, Texas Google Summit, TCEA, Texas Library Association, and ISTE.
